Bishop Jerome Institute, Kollam — On September 8th, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit No: 312 of Bishop Jerome Institute organized an engaging and educational Orientation Program on Rudhirasena, the prestigious flagship blood donation cell of APJAKTU NSS Cell.

The event was conducted in association with key healthcare and blood donation support organizations, including the Kerala State Blood Transfusion Council (KSBTC) and POL-BLOOD.

Key Event Highlights:

  • Resource Person: The session was led by Vismaya S, KLM-PTA Regional Coordinator for Rudhirasena. She delivered an insightful orientation on the vital role of youth in blood donation awareness, community engagement, and how student volunteers can contribute towards saving lives through systematic blood drives.

  • Venue & Time: The program commenced at 3:00 PM in the Ground Floor Seminar Hall, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students and NSS volunteers across departments.

  • Event Coordinators: The event was successfully spearheaded by NSS Unit Coordinators Jeevan V and Neeraja, with support from faculty advisors and student representatives.

This initiative aimed to instill voluntary blood donation awareness among engineering and management students, aligning with the core mission of the APJAKTU NSS Cell and KSBTC to build a reliable network of voluntary donors across Kerala.
