Workshop on Fire and Safety

The Civil Engineering Department of Bishop Jerome Institute successfully conducted a workshop on Fire and Safety as part of INFRA’26, the department’s technical fest. The session was led by experienced fire and safety experts who provided valuable insights into essential safety practices, emergency response strategies, and risk prevention measures.

The workshop focused on creating awareness about fire hazards, the proper use of firefighting equipment, and effective evacuation procedures during emergencies. Participants were given practical exposure and demonstrations, making the session highly interactive and informative.

The event witnessed active participation from students, equipping attendees with crucial knowledge and skills in fire safety management.

Civil Engineering Students Association Day

Held at the 6th-floor Seminar Hall, Academic Block, BJI. The inaugural session commenced with a prayer song by Salvia and Indira Unni, followed by a Welcome Speech by Sneha Mary Gracious (S7, Coordinator). Presided over by Dr. Sudhi Mary Kurian (Dean & HOD), the annual activity report (2023–2024) was presented by Krishna D (S7).

The function was inaugurated by Dr. Samson Mathew (Director, NATPAC), with addresses by Fr. Benjamine Palliyadiyil, Dr. D. Roshan Kumar, and Dr. Kim J. Seelan. High-achieving students in academics and extracurriculars were recognized.
